Brownstone Powder Room

Red Disk’s “Queen City Toile” wallpaper served as both the catalyst and inspiration for this powder room refresh. The stunning, hand-printed design pays homage to Buffalo at the turn of the century, featuring some of the city’s most iconic architectural landmarks.

To complement the wallpaper, we collaborated with a local artist to create a series of six sketches depicting homes meaningful to the client’s family. These personal touches make this high-traffic first-floor powder room feel both welcoming and truly unique.

Though our clients grew up in Western New York, many of their loved ones now live farther away. When family returns and the house is full, this thoughtfully designed bathroom adds an extra layer of warmth and nostalgia to those special gatherings.

“It’s an Easter egg in that you wouldn’t know what these houses are if you don’t know us,” Amanda shares. “My husband and I each picked three homes, including where we grew up and our grandparents’ houses. It’s my favorite feature in our entire home—sentimental touches like this are such a special trademark of Erin’s.”
